How Does One Remain “Cool” On A 100 Degree Day?

26th Annual MN Credit Unions for Kids Golf Tournament

Even though temperatures reached over 100 degrees on the Refuge Golf Course, 27 teams of credit union industry professionals (very “cool” people) contributed to the success of the 26th Annual MN Credit Unions for Kids Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament raised a record-breaking $27,022 for Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare.  And that’s how one remains “cool” on a 100-degree day!

From a marshmallow drive, to “hit the green,” to a chipping contest and purchasing bundles of mulligans, string and power drives, it wasn’t about actual scores, but more about raising funds to support the mission of Gillette. TruStone Financial took home the first-place trophy.

Megan Primeau, VP Marketing, City & County Credit Union and CU4Kids Golf Tournament committee member states, “Credit unions are truly special organizations – our employees and partners are an extraordinarily kind and generous group. For more than a quarter-century that generosity is demonstrated at our Credit Unions for Kids Golf Tournament, and this year we set new heights by raising over $27,000 for Gillette. From those that coordinated the event to those that supported it, we thank you and look forward to seeing you back in 2022.”

Since 1997, Minnesota and western Wisconsin credit unions have raised over $4 million for Gillette, holding to their industry philosophy of “People Helping People.”

Some of our devoted golfers include these teams from Enterprise, the Minnesota Credit Union Network and TruStone Financial.
