If you shopped your local Ace Hardware in August you may have seen an eye-catching blue bucket display, like this ship at one of Simon’s Ace Hardware & Paint stores in Minnesota. Sixty-nine Ace locations around Minnesota and western Wisconsin sold the blue buckets for $5 each, offering a discount to customers for most anything they could fit inside. The outcome? Dedicated Ace retailers and their customers raised over $16,500 for Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, their Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
